ASTM A453 GR 660

We also deal ASTM A453 GR 660 material. It is a precipitation hardening steel heat resistant, recommended in case of high mechanical resistance and corrosion resistance up to 700°C.  It is suitable to be used in jet engines, turbines, gears, paddles, nuts, bolts, spring washers and other devices that require high temperatures resistance.
The corrosion resistance of GR 660 is excellent up to 700°C. The  oxidation resistance is good up to 800°C in current “on-order” conditions and up to 980°C in fitful “on-order” conditions.

GR 660 can be protected arc welded or arc welded in inert atmosphere. We recommend  soluble not aged condition. Soluble operation up to 980°C  lasting 1 hour and rapid cooling (by air or by water). Precipitation aging at 720°C lasting 16 hours. Forging gap 1150°C up to 1050°C avoiding to go down 930°C. The warping resistance is higher than the austenitic steels one.
