ASTM A193 material was originally approved in 1936. This Specification is heavily used in petroleum fields and in chemical products applications. The ASTM Standard covers the steel and stainless steel alloys suitable for the fastening of high temperatures materials and also includes the fastening specifications to be used in pressure vessels, valves, flanges and fittings.
